More Parents Buy Organic Baby Food


(USA) Organic baby food sales have reached 90 million for 2005, which is a 17 percent increase over 2004, according to the marketing information company ACNielsen. Overall, the sale of organic baby food has jumped 57 percent since 2001.

Many parents buy organic baby food because they are concerned about the pesticides, hormone, antibiotics or genetically modified food present in conventional baby food.

The benefits of organic food are more than pesticide-free. Many old-fashioned parents may stick to conventional baby food, thinking organic or not, it does not make too much difference. However, many studies have shown that organic food does differ from conventional food in a few aspects.
