It’s Official – Organic Food Tastes Better

Results from a new poll back claims that people buy organic food because it tastes better.

The survey revealed that taste is a major factor in shoppers deciding to go organic.

The poll was conducted on behalf of the UK Soil Association, which provides consumer education and certification services for organic producers.

The poll showed that over 90 per cent of people say enjoying a tastier diet is an important motivation to buying organic.

Fruit and vegetable scored particularly highly on taste with 72 per cent saying they taste better than non-organic.

71 per cent of those polled said they prefer the taste of organic meat to non-organic.
